About
Ten years from brand to product — I design the whole journey.
Most recently I was Design & User Experience Officer at Peblla, building restaurant technology used by 750+ restaurants across the US — a handheld POS, self-ordering tablets, a cross-brand loyalty app, and analytics dashboards — contributing to $208M in annual payment volume.
Before that, I spent five years at Gong cha as Lead Designer for Brand & UX/UI — leading a team of 5+ designers through the brand’s US digital journey from zero to launch: app, web, and rewards across 30 stores in California, a 140% increase in US sales, and 7 international design awards along the way.
I started in branding — agency contracts at MOD Worldwide and Iyashi Brand Studio, freelance work for Aetna, CVS, Comcast, and Xfinity — with an MFA in Graphic Design from Academy of Art University. That origin never left me: to me, a design system is just a brand guideline that ships. One language, every surface.
If you’ve read my case studies, you’ll spot the throughline: error-proof beats beautiful, ask about the dining format first, and numbers should read as answers. I work in English and Mandarin — this site speaks both, too.

Experience
2024–2026 Peblla — Design, User Experience Officer
Owned design across the platform’s top-line products: mobile POS, self-ordering, loyalty, dashboards, kiosks, and brand guidelines. Executed 0→1 strategies from concept to launch, working daily with product, engineering, and data teams.
2020–2024 Gong cha — Lead Designer, Brand & UX/UI
Led a 5+ designer team across shop redesign, social, web, and mobile app. Scaled the online order & rewards system from a single-store pilot to 30 stores across California (~$910K monthly omnichannel sales), and led the SEO-optimized, accessibility-first website redesign — 251% more sessions, 280% more first-time users.
2019–2021 Contract & Freelance — Graphic Designer
Back-to-back agency engagements at MOD Worldwide and Iyashi Brand Studio alongside independent projects — brand guidelines, pitches, commercials, websites, and apps for clients including Aetna, CVS, Comcast, Xfinity, and HIPPO.
2016–2020 Academy of Art University — MFA, Graphic Design
Later joined by UC Berkeley Extension bootcamps in UX/UI and digital marketing, and a Certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell (2025).
